Will you play us, Hokies?
Rumors are swirling that Virginia Tech has made a major change to its schedule for 2010 and 2011. The Hokies were previously scheduled to renew their old Big East rivalry with the Syracuse Orange(men), but evidently ‘Cuse begged their way out of the deal. Everybody’s favorite asshole AD Jim Weaver has managed to finagle a “Neutral Site” game at FedEx Field against the Boise State Broncos to open the 2010 season. Some rumors are swirling that BSU is looking for a return game, but nothing has been confirmed to this point. Look for updates as they come in.
Knee-Jerk Reaction: This is a HUGE schedule upgrade for Tech in 2010, as we now find Boise State around the top 15 at the end of every season nowadays. It’s another great opportunity for the Broncos to flex their muscles and show that they belong in the BCS discussion every season. I’m PUMPED!
UPDATE:
Looks like Jim Weaver is craftier that we thought. Updated reports are saying that the Hokies will meet the Broncos at FedEx for the 2010 opener and then Boise State will travel to Blacksburg for another contest in 2011. Looks like they made out like bandits.

AWESOME!!
I'm going...anyone else in?
I think the Newsday report is wrong. It cites the WTVR story, which says the Hokies will not play Boise State in 2011.
