A Couple of Jabs

On Sunday evening, my dad, a longtime Redskins fan and season ticket holder (and guy that created the monster of fandom that is your resident blogger), sent me this email. Under normal circumstances, I would have been pissed off and maybe even sent back a smarmy response. However, these aren't normal circumstances we're dealing with as Redskins fans. Here are the contents of the aforementioned email:

From: Dad
To: The Miz

Sent: Sunday, October 18, 2009 11:01:34 PM

Subject: Fwd: Redskins

HEADLINE: "D.C. Police are cracking down on speeders. For the first offense, they give you two Redskins tickets. If you get stopped a second time, they give you two Nationals tickets."

Q. What do you call 47 millionaires sitting around a TV watching the Super Bowl?
A. The Washington Redskins.

Q. What do the Redskins and Billy Graham have in common?
A. They both can make 90,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ."

Q. How do you keep the Redskins out of your yard?
A. Put up a goal post.

Q. Where do you go in D.C. in case of a tornado?
A. To FedEx Field -- they never have a touchdown there!

Q. What do you call a Redskin with a Super Bowl ring?
A. Senior Citizen

Q. What's the difference between the Redskins and a dollar bill?
A. You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Q. How many Redskins does it take to win a Super Bowl?
A. We may never find out in the 21st century.

Q. What do the Redskins and opossums have in common?
A. Both play dead at home and get killed on the road.

Awesome. These are dark times we're living in. Dark times I tell you!

HAHA!!! I laughed hard when I read this. Sorry Mike and all other Redskin faithful. Good thing I don't really care much for the NFL.

I just want them to play some ball!! I am a life long die hard skins fan and this performance is ruining my entire season. I want some offense!!! I want to be able to talk trash and feel like my skind can compete with anybody. But I don't right now!! Now whenever they take the field I expect them to loose and look bad doing it!!!

Vinny needs to go!! No two ways about it!! Brian Mitchell told us this years ago!! No need to say anything about Snyder selling the team, cause he ain't!! But he does need a true proven team builder as a GM and Vinny ain't it!!!

Good lord those are good. Lifelong Redskins fan reporting, thankfully I've adopted a sense of schadenfreude this year. 31-0 at halftime against the Eggles, you heard it here first.
